New Beginnings

       


New Beginnings was a success!!  The girls really enjoyed the evening.  It made me proud that they enjoyed the program and walked away with positive feelings for the YW's Program. What a wonderful night they could share with their parents and friends.  The girls were able to show their parents the mod podge clipboards they made at a previous activity.  They held their torch high and explained why they chose a “special” person who inspires them with their value that they chose for the year. The YW stake president did a wonderful job explaining about the changes in personal progress and helped inspire the girls to “GO FOR THE GOLD”. Before the closing remarks by the bishop, one of the YW got up and  handed the bishopric a gift bag.  They opened it and found a silk gold tie.  The girls challenged each one of them to do the  requirements for the value Virtue. They were thrilled with this challenge and they said “GAME ON!!”  When they accomplish this goal, they are to wear this tie to church the following Sunday.  Each girl will then know that they have accomplished this task. We have the best bishopric.  They are so supportive of these youth.  It makes me proud to be able to serve next to them.  Our bishop closed the evening with wonderful remarks.  What more can one ask for? Heavenly Father made sure this meeting was golden.
