Ready to rise
I’ve got flat pancake rolls
My first mistake was believing that I could make homemade rolls and have them turn out. HA!! HA!! It started off great and boy was I proud of myself. After the yeast made such pretty dough, I was pretty hopeful. However, when I tried to remove a wet towel that I had placed over my rolls to help them rise. It broke my heart to see the dough go up with the towel. I went ahead and cooked them anyway. They were good . Just FLAT!!!! It was a lot of work to have them turn out like this. Any advice, Charlotte??
FYI……The shaping video that looked so easy was unrealistic for me once I started trying to do it . I don’t know how that women could make them so perfectly round. I guess, I need to practice that step again too. The Monterey Chicken…………was DELICIOUS!!!! Michael and I both LOVED it. Now, that recipe is a keeper.

Wow. How disappointing. I've not had rolls do that before. Was the towel too damp? Did the dough stick to the towel after they were formed and on the pan? I will call you tomorrow and find out all the details. I'm glad they tasted good. Sorry they went flat on ya. Don't let it discourage you. You can make great rolls. You just need to try again. :)
Glad you enjoyed the Monterey Chicken. I really like it too. :)
Love ya!
I am not good with yeast. I try to follow Charlotte's plan but it hasn't worked for me. I think I need to see it performed before I get the hang of it.
