Abbie mentioned early in the week that she would like to have her ears pierced. She has said this before and chickened out at the last minute. I didn’t really think anything of it. This afternoon, she came home from school and mentioned that today was the day. She was getting her ears pierced. Abbie told her teacher at school that she would not be going to the football game because she was getting her ears pierced. To my surprise, she really did it. She didn’t even get one tear in her eyes. She was so proud of herself. Her mom was sooo pleased with her!!!Every time I look at her, I don’t see my little girl. I see a girl who is growing up right before my eyes. Tonight, this momma is feeling a little strange knowing that this is only the beginning of many changes.

Wow! She did it! I am so proud of Abbie! It's not an easy thing to sit still while someone shoots a hole into your ear! :) She is definitely growing up, Dana. I don't think Elaina would be able to do it now... thank heavens we did it when she was a baby. It's hard enough to get her to wear earings, let alone sit thru getting new holes. haha I love you!
WOW!!! or should I say Ouch!!! Your baby girl is GROWING UP!!! She is a BEAUTIFUL SWEET girl, so it has to be so much fun!!! Yall looked so cute at square fair... I might have to borrow Abbie just to get some "girl" time!!! Boys are fun, but just not the same.
