Two great friends, Scotty and my better half, Michael, are off to Saskatchewan, Canada. For weeks, our garage has been filled with gear that he would be taking on this trip. They usually drive because they bring so much STUFF!! Duck hunters are a different breed of people. They say it gets in your blood and you are never the same about anything else. I have found this to be true with Michael. When we were first married, he would golf from Spring to fall and that is when duck hunting would take over. He had a sport for every season it seemed. Now, he doesn’t think of anything else but duck hunting. It takes priority over all other sports now. His partner in crime (Scotty) is actually more intense about it than Michael (unbelievable). The day they usually arrive back home from their current trip, they start planning for next year.
The house is quiet with him gone. I miss him so much already. It hasn’t even been twenty four hours that he has been gone. Michael, be safe and hurry home. =)
