The Ballerina Princess

Years ago, Sharon (my MIL) had this book written for Abbie.  The main character is about a girl named Abbie who is taking a ballet class.  Her friends in the book were Abbie’s real friends at the time that were in  her ballet class.  Even down to her ballet teacher, Mrs. Judy.  It’s a cute little book and Abbie loves that it includes all these details that make her smile each time she reads it.

Her teacher at school this year has given the assignment to pick a book that she can read to the class.  She is to have a visual aid or she can dress up like a character in the book.  Abbie, picked this book because it is so special to her.  She mentioned to me that we should give each classmate something at the end of her presentation.  Of course, I’m not creative so I was freaked out for a bit. At the end of the book,  Abbie is presented with flowers after her recital. That’s it…….I could give them flowers!!  Then, I remembered that Charlotte had just made these Hershey Kiss Roses for her kids in primary for Mother’s Day.  Hmmmm…maybe I could make this work for Abbie’s presentation.

Charlotte gave the list of what I would need and what worked best to make them turn out.  So, last night Abbie and I knocked these out pretty quickly.  She is so excited to be able to give each friend a candy rose out of her bouquet at the end of her presentation.  I hope this turns out well for her.  This project is due Friday.
