This sucker has been having a field day in our flower beds and yard for a loooong time. I’m sure that he has other friends that have been attending his parties. Sorry to have to bust up the PARTAY!!!!
This morning, after my morning ritual (working out), I knew that I needed to make some phones calls. Charlotte, had just gotten back from Arizona and I needed to give her a call and catch up. While talking with her on the phone, I filled a glass full of water and went outside to water a plant on the front porch. To my surprise I happened to notice the gate down on the armadillo trap ( it has only been sitting there for months). I bent down to look inside and thought I saw a big rock. Curious I quickly went back inside to get a flash light to get a better look inside the cage. We have the trap set behind our bushes and its pretty dark over there. I started to wonder what I would do if there really was an armadillo inside. My heart starting beating really fast and I got a little nervous. I told Charlotte that I needed to call her back so I could give this situation my full attention. I went back out there again only to see speckles on this big rock looking thing. I got a little closer and I jumped back. It was an armadillo!!! I ran inside and told the kids to get up and come out and help me. I made Austin look and see if he saw the same thing that I had. Of course, he was calm and acting like it was no big deal. He acts just like his daddy. Calm and no emotion. He said “yep, it is!!” and headed back in the house. I finally got in touch with Michael and he said take a picture and send it to him. I told him that I would have to think about it and get my courage up. As you can see, I did get up the courage to pull it out and take a picture. So here you go……take a good look at him!!
