Fun night with friends

What a long day it was for us.  We got to the church at 6am to get ready for the garage sale. Thank heavens that the garage sale was a huge success. What a blessing!! Although, everyone got sunburned after being in the sun all day (small price to pay). We starting shutting things down for the sale around 1 and believe it or not we were rolling out of there by 2. I wanted to do a “happy dance” but was too tired and had no energy left in me. Everyone had worked hard all day.  I secretly thought that we wouldn’t get done with everything until late in the evening.  I knew the garage sale wouldn’t last all day but it was finding a place for the stuff that didn’t sell that concerned me.  To my surprise, it all turned out better than expected. The stuff that was left we hauled straight to Goodwill.  Finally, we were done!!!!

Once we got home, Michael headed straight to the bed to take a nap. While he was napping our friends called and wanted us to come out to their home to visit and eat dinner. We went and had a great time. They live out in the country and have tons of different animals. There was plenty to keep the kids entertained while we all visited with one another. We are very blessed to have such great friends. It was the perfect ending to a long, beautiful day.  (Notice in the picture how much sun I got. It didn’t even cross my mind to bring sunscreen. Shame on me!!)
