I really got inspired after carving with the youth. A couple of weeks ago, we purchased a couple of pumpkins so I new that all I would need is the tools and a couple of patterns and we were set. After dinner, I asked the kids to go through the book and pick out a pattern that they each liked. They both loved getting to pick through and find just the perfect one. Abbie picked a cat. Austin however, had to go goth and picked a skull and cross bones with a pirate look. Needless to say, after much work Abbie's turned out and Austin's.........well........let's just say momma had some trouble with that one. Who cares anyway, right? I had some battery opperated votive candles to place inside and they were soooo cute. The kids LOVE them!!! The best part of all was when Abbie told me that I was the best mom EVER (I almost fainted, seriously). That was worth all the hard work just to hear her say those words to me. It was a great evening at the Reeves'home.

The pumpkins turned out cute. It's amazing how something so small can make you the "best mother in the whole world". :)
