The infamous hill =(
I love these tennis shoes!!!
But I always get a hole in them in the same place.
This morning I got up and went to the gym for my normal run on the treadmill, attend water aerobics then work on strength training. After returning home, I knew that today would be a perfect day to go for a run (practice for the 5K). I put back on my tennis shoes and I was off. I started at a normal pace but quickly started fading when trying to go up this hill. It’s a KILLER!!!! I know it doesn’t look like much of hill in this above picture but trust me on this one, its t.o.u.g.h!!! I made it to the top of the hill and had to stop and walk for a bit. Dang it!!! Then, I started back running and continued for a ways and had to stop again. When I do stop running, I try and walk fast and make the rest a quick one and then restart with running. I swear this is eating my lunch but I’m going to make it. I might walk more than I like during the actual race, but I will still be proud of myself for entering a 5K. For the next few days, I’m just going to practice on the hill. I’m going to jog up it and come down. Then do it again. It stinks that this is right at the beginning of my run. It brings me to my knees every time. Maybe eventually it will get better for me (praying that this happens).

Holy Crap, Dana! You worked out on the treadmill, did water aerobics AND did some strength training BEFORE you went running. You really expect to go running and make it up a hill after all that?!?!?!? Girl, you are A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!
LOL!!! Gena grabbed me and MADE me go running with her... we went about 2 miles and only ran 1/3 of the way. I WAS DYING!!! and now my shins are killing me!!! This is going to be the longest month of training of my life!!!
