The tournament was held at Cowboy Stadium and this was our first time in this building.
Abbie, and her proud gator fan daddy.
We were driving around before the game and we saw police on motorcycles escorting this big bus to a hotel. We got excited and followed them and got out at the hotel to see who got off of the bus. It happened to be the team Florida Gulf Coast University players. They were going to be playing UF later on that evening. This guy with the beats earphones on, was Austin’s favorite player on their team. He thought it was really cool to see him in person and up close. They were very gracious with their fans and signed autographs and posed for pictures. They played University of Florida on Friday evening and we beat them….thank heavens. Michael, would have lost it. It was a good game and UF went on to play Michigan on Sunday. Actually, University of Michigan played Kansas before our game and it was one of the best basketball games I have ever seen. This team went on to play University of Florida and whipped us. However, the following week they played University of Louisville and got beat for the championship game. It was a treat getting to go to a NCAA basketball game and see how exceptionally good these players are. Michael knew that we would enjoy getting to see Florida play and he was on cloud nine and lost his voice during the previous game on Friday evening. It will be an Easter we won’t forget anytime soon. I’m glad we had the opportunity to go. Thank you, Michael!!
Gators with their coach
Joakim Noah-
Currently playing for the Chicago Bulls, was there to support his gator family.
Yup…..Austin, was star struck!
This guy #4 on Michigan’s team was almost 7ft tall and could play basketball exceptionally well. The gator’s didn’t play well this night and Michigan made every shot and just whipped them.
Gator Cheerleaders and mascot kept us entertained
A big gator fan. He made us think of “David Puddy” from Seinfeld when they went to the hockey game and he painted his face and ended up scaring everyone at the game. The kids thought this guy was a riot. He was successful because he got on TV and the jumbo screen a ton.
