My first 5K!!!

Here I am all nervous and excited all at the same time.

The whole gang: LtoR Me, Ali, Gena, Tiffany, and her son Tommy. These three beauties are sisters. They have two more sisters that are just as beautiful but weren’t racing with us.

I had just come around the corner (half way mark) and I see my support team there to cheer me on.  Micheal smiling proudly, Abbie holding her sign that she made, mom, dad, Sharon and Phillip.  They pumped me up and kept me going full steam. 

**Notice the fireman in full gear, boots and all with a pink helmet on. When I ran past him I gave him a big thumbs up (I wanted to hug him because it made me so proud seeing him, but I knew that it was inappropriate……..hmmm I was pretty stinky at this point, too).

   

Gena, was the first one to come into the finish line. YAY!!!!! She is such a cutie!!!

I made it!!!!!

Here comes Miss America, Ali, looking all pretty and happy.

Tiffany coming in with her son, Tommy. They did amazing out there.  I’m so proud of them (especially Tommy for doing so well in this race).

Miss Tyler (Tiffany) coming in. She is SUPERWOMAN!! I swear this girl is extremely AWESOME at everything she does!! She is the one who pushed (encouraged) me and said that she would do this race with me from the beginning. I will always be so grateful for her friendship and love. She helped me fulfill a goal that I’ve secretly had for years. Thank you, friend =)

Here we all are after the race. I was so proud of myself.  I actually did better on my time than I had been doing in practice. It was a great experience and to do it with friends was just icing on the cake.
