Glenn-Beck-1

Town Hall meeting featuring Glenn Beck

The past few days have been really busy around our house.  Mom came on Thursday afternoon and we started running. On Friday, mom and I did some shopping looking for different things for Abbie’s birthday. ( On Saturday, May 1st we are headed to Great Wolf Lodge with Michael’s brother and family and his mom and step dad. It should be a lot of fun. We told Abbie while we were there in Dallas we would run over to the American Girl store and let her get a dolls outfit and get her dolls hair done. She loved that idea).  Anywho……..then mom went to her massage (which she LOVED).  Since we were already at the hospital, mom, Michael and myself, all went to lunch.  It was a full day and still wasn’t over. Mom brought her sewing machine because Abbie and I both had projects that we wanted help with.  Mom is always willing to help us out.  Thank you, MOM!! She quickly started working on the first project.  Which was making camera strap covers. I have seen around blog land where different ones have made theirs.  It looked like a pretty simple project.  NOT when Dana is around. I have to make things difficult.  By that evening, she had made three strap covers and each one was a little different.  Then, she started making dresses for Abbie’s American Girl dolls. Abbie loves to watch YOUTUBE videos of girls who make cute things for their dolls.  Abbie found this one where this girl makes dresses for her dolls. Mom and Abbie were designing and tweaking with their little projects. After they had made a few dresses, she decided that she wanted her doll to have a matching apron like granny had made her for Christmas.  Of course, that tickled mother and she whipped up one for her.  Mother is so talented and loves to share her knowledge.

Later  Saturday afternoon, Michael’s dad and step mom came to join us to see Glenn Beck.  Mom, offered to stay with the kids. They loved having her here with them. We left early because we were meeting Michael’s hunting buddy, Scotty and  his wife Val, for dinner.  All six of us went to dinner then we headed to the event ( Town Hall mtg).  We had a lot of fun just laughing and joking at dinner and waiting for the event to start. Glenn, was just like he is on TV.  Honest, emotional and informative. He came wearing a plaid shirt untucked with green hightops on.  Typical Glenn attire. It was a spiritual meeting to say the least.  I’m glad that he is out there trying to make a difference and help educate America. I’m glad that we decided to attend.   This man is a brain.

Of course, today we attended church. It has been a full weekend.  But, so fun to be surrounded by family and good friends.
