Yesterday, when the kids got home from school, I put Abbie straight to work. I had her taking off the wrapper of the “Hugs candies” while I was placing the pretzels on the cookie sheet. We baked them for 8 minutes and topped them off with a couple of M&M’s. After they were done, we placed them in the freezer to set. Later on in the evening, I wanted to make some frosted popcorn (its my favorite Christmas treat along with Puppy Chow). I placed the frosted popcorn in a cellophane baggie and put them in these cute tins. I know its not much but hey its just a token to say to the teachers and neighbors we are thinking of you at the special tine of year.
We also decorated some ornaments. Michael’s had these 60% off (less than .60/ea). I found some rub-ons to use as well as using a Sharpie pen. They turned out really cute and Abbie loved making them. Of course, Austin, didn’t want any part of decorating or baking. Oh well, he missed out on our fun time together.
Today when the kids arrived home from school, Abbie was wanting to know what projects we were going to be working on. She loves to help out . Thank heavens someone does around here.
