Need Oil ??

So far its been a pretty slow day.  I got up around eight. Michael and I headed off to the gym (we can only work out together on Saturday's because of our schedules). We worked out for about an hour.  Michael needed to run errands in town so we took separate cars.  After the gym, he followed me to the Lube and Filter place.  I needed to have my oil changed because the light has been on for awhile but I've been too lazy to stop and get it changed.  Thursday evening, he went with me to take Austin to basketball practice and he noticed the light on my dash.  It read " Check Oil Level".  He questioned me about this and I said "Oh, yeah I already know about it. I just haven't had time to go and have it changed."  He looked at me and said "How long has this light been on?" I said, for a couple of days.  He FREAKED!!! He stopped the car and looked under the hood to check the oil.  I started thinking why is he so worried.  Then, it dawned on me this was a totally diffenrent message all together.  Let me explain, I knew it was time for an oil change but I always wait a bit longer than my sticker on my car of the projected date to have the oil changed.  I thought when this light came on it was the other light telling me to have my oil changed. Needless to say, I almost burnt up my engine.  After he checked my oil level, he shut it and said we need to go and get oil to put in your car.  When he checked the oil a part was just sitting on top from the last time I had my oil changed.  We figured they had forgotten to replace a part and my oil had spilled out everywhere.  That is why he wanted to go with me this morning to have them check out my car.  So we get there and they say that the part was old and stripped and needed to be pushed into place.  This had nothing to do with my leaking of oil.  They said that I had another leak by the gasket.  I was totally confused.  All I heard was it needed to go to the mechanic and have it checked out.  Of course, our mechanic wasn't open today.  Monday, I will have to take it in and have it worked on.  However, while we were there at the Oil place they noticed that my inspection sticker was expired.  Michael, looked at me and said "You need to pay better attention to your car". I usually do!! I don't know where my mind has been.  Obviously, not on my car.

After that whole saga.....I headed to the grocery store and then back home to get ready for Austin's basketball game.  It was an AWESOME game!!! The score was 29 to 29!!! No overtime. They just left it as a tie. I couldn't believe it but the boys seemed happy with the final call.

Now we are back home and everyone is doing their own thing.  I got two movies at the grocery store that I plan on watching tonight with the family.  They are good and clean, don't you worry.

Glad to hear you got your car taken care of (mostly). Mike has learned that I don't pay attention to the car. When it stops and I can't make it go, I complain to him that it's broken and he needs to fix it! haha He gets quite fed up with me at times, but he is getting better at taking my lack of care with the car all in stride. haha

Glad to hear Austin had a good game. :)

I love you!
