Six going on Sixteen

Santa left Abbie some fake fingernails in her stocking this year for Christmas. Of course, this was one item that was put away quickly because of the many other things that she received. Well last night, she wanted me to put these on her and I told her that she was stalling and didn't want to go to bed. When she awoke this morning, she asked asked once again. I then knew that she was wanting them on badly. I went ahead and placed them on her nails. This child was instantly a proud teenager. She got dressed with no arguing. Let me brush her hair and she couldn't wait to show all her friends at school. Who knew they would make her so happy? This was one morning there was no fighting or crying about getting clothes on for school. I might just have to go buy more if this will help our mornings run smoother. She even asked me to take a picture of her nails and put it on my computer. She was smiling from ear to ear. I had to remind her that if one fell off to not worry or cry that it might happen and we would fix them this afternoon. I could just picture her telling her teacher that I would be mad if she lost a nail. I can't wait to hear her report this afternoon about her day
